Father's Day Weekend

Like on Mother's Day, Terry and I headed up to see my parents in Ferndale for Father's Day. We took our new camper up there to show it to my parents. We wanted to bring the truck up anyways so we could borrow their canoe. We had a relaxing, sunny weekend.

On Saturday, we went to the Demming Log Show and stopped at my grandma's house in Lynden on the way home. Since grandma is moving soon, she gave Terry and I a bunch of her gardening tools that she won't need any more. We were stoked as we needed some of the things that she had laying around.

On Sunday, we hung out at that house and did some yard work. My mom and I did have to run into town to get steaks for dinner, so I picked up Terry's anniversary gift while we were out. I know it isn't our anniversary for another couple weeks, but I decided to get the gift now so we can use it this summer. When we got back, mom and Trinity played a little croquet and Terry played with his gift. Grandma and Ed came over for dinner. Terry and I took off soon after dinner and made it home without traffic.

Zinnia and Zeus after a long day

Today is a fabulous day. It's sunny and seventy-four degrees out. I really hope this weather lasts! Zeus slept most of the day since he is still recovering from the weekend. I have a long list of chores to do, but would rather enjoy the sun. Maybe I will compromise.
